1998, a jam packed year of ocean awareness art projects that took me around the world. In a nutshell - the first of the year I jumped onboard a School @ Sea Program as Art Teacher, sailing through the Caribbean for 3 months of true ocean living, humpback whale encounters, and creating art with students. That led me to the World Expo in Lisbon, Portugal, coordinating sidewalk ocean themed chalk art with school groups. After a few months  I shipped out on a GreenPeace boat creating environmental chalk art with kids around the Mediterranean Sea. While in Istanbul I received an email asking me to be the Art Director for the Wyland Foundation’s “Ocean Challenge” 50 state bus tour. So I Flew from Turkey to Colorado and for the next 3 months traveled the USA painting ocean murals in schools with whale muralist, Wyland. I lived on the run for that whole year spreading ocean love to kids across the globe.
